Founded in 2006, Niche Distributors was established to address a gap in the Retail Food Market in the Eastern Cape. Unlike other major centers in South Africa, the region had limited product choices, leaving consumers without access to a diverse range of quality goods.

We also noticed that large corporate competitors focused primarily on major retail chains, leaving independent retailers underserved. Recognizing this opportunity, we set out to bridge the gap by providing high-quality products and exceptional service to both large chains and smaller independent businesses.

Our journey began in a garage and a few Wendy houses in a small seaside village. As demand grew, so did our need for space. Early-morning truck deliveries weren’t ideal for maintaining good neighborly relations, prompting us to relocate to larger premises in Port Elizabeth—just months after selling our first product.

Despite our growth, our core values remain unchanged. We continue to focus on our customers, offering great value, excellent service, and a team of happy, motivated staff. We take pride in listening to our customers' needs and evolving with the market, ensuring that we remain a trusted and customer-centric business.
